Drive your ZOOM LENS, Z STAGE, BACKLIGHT, and IN-LINE ILLUMINATION with MnL

This multi-device controller can drive up to 2 stepper motors and up to 4 LEDs in any number of channel configuration.
You can drive 4 channel illuminator of your fluorescence microscope​, color filter wheel, and Z-stage with this one controller.

STEPPER MOTOR CONTROL details:

  • One or two 2-phase stepper motors with limit sensors
  • Built-in indexer with simple command set to control major parameters and profiles of motion
  • Configurable micro-stepping to 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16
  • Programmable motor current up to 1.25 A in 10mA resolution
  • Idle current of 0 or 50% (configurable)
  • High performance advanced options available, i.a. changing motion direction, polarity of limit switches, smoothing the motion ramp for lower vibrations and higher accuracy of positioning, homing on power up, reversing through home

LED CONTROL details:

  • Up to four LED channels
  • Each channel can be drive maximum current of 700mA, 1A, or 1.2A
  • Individual channel current control with 0.1% resolution
  • Constant current control (not PWM), suitable for high-speed imaging

SOFTWARE details:

  • Control of motion parameters, such as acceleration and velocity
  • Display of current motor position and status
  • Emergency stop of all the motors
  • Control of motor current, micro-step resolution, motion direction, limit sensor polarity, home sensor selection, reverse-thru-home, backlash compensation, homing-on-power-up enable, etc.
  • Auto cycle of up to 6 positions with adjustable time interval
  • LED current control (0.1% resolution)
  • Saving parameters to EEPROM
  • Baud rate change
  • DLL and Communication protocol
